Danang Cathedral is officially called the Church of Jesus or the Church of Jesus is known as the church of the Da Nang diocese. This is the only church built in Da Nang during the French colonial period.
The chicken chapel is located in the center of Da Nang city, at 156 Tran Phu, Hai Chau district, Da Nang. Danang Cathedral’s main parish church is Gothic style with soaring lines, crown arches. The name alone also speaks to the uniqueness of Da Nang Chicken Church, simply because the top of the church has a chicken image. Native people say that the chicken is a modern weather forecast, based on the direction of the chicken, people will know what the weather like on that day. It was built in the 1920s and did not have any renovation work, so the Da Nang Roasted church still retained its ancient character. As one of the French architecture left over in Da Nang, thanks to impressive architecture and unique religious mark, the church became one of the most attractive attractions in Da Nang. Therefore, when visiting the church, visitors feel like to step into the church of the West half way around the world.
