Sharing Joy and Blessings for Tet
A Heartfelt Year-End Visit to “ĐAP” Parish: Sharing Joy and Blessings for Tet
As the Lunar New Year approaches, our hearts are filled with gratitude and joy as we reflect on the meaningful experiences that come with this special season. Among them, the year-end charity trip to “ĐAP” Parish, nestled in the serene An Bằng Village of Lộc Thủy, Phú Lộc, Hue, stands out as a highlight, reminding us of the power of kindness and connection.
This memorable journey was made possible through the heartfelt guidance of Sister Mai, a dear friend of Ms. Marie, the founder of Vietnam Catholic Tours. Their bond, forged years ago in the convent, laid the foundation for our opportunity to visit this humble parish and bring joy to the elderly as they prepared for the New Year (Lunar New Year).
A Small Gesture of Love
Our mission was simple yet profound: to deliver small but meaningful gifts to the elderly in Đập Parish, a Catholic parish home to 60 families. Despite its modest size, the parish radiates a sense of warmth and unity that is hard to put into words.
Guided by the dedicated Sisters of the Daughters of the Immaculate Conception, we distributed these tokens of joy, sharing smiles, laughter, and heartfelt wishes for a blessed New Year. The Sisters, who live and serve quietly in this parish, inspire everyone with their selfless dedication—not only to the Catholic families but also to the wider community of over 250 non-Catholic households in the area. Their unwavering commitment embodies the true essence of Christian charity.
Spreading Peace and Joy
The visit was more than just gift-giving; it was about bringing the spirit of the season to every heart we encountered. We exchanged warm Tet wishes of Peace and Tranquility, creating moments of connection that transcend material gifts. The joy and gratitude in the eyes of the recipients were the greatest blessings we could ever receive.
Gratitude and Blessings
This trip reinforced the values we hold dear at Vietnam Catholic Tours—faith, compassion, and community. We are profoundly grateful to the Sisters of the Daughters of the Immaculate Conception for their silent yet powerful service to the parish and the surrounding community.
As we left Đập Parish, our hearts were full, knowing that even the smallest acts of kindness can leave a lasting impact. We pray for continued blessings upon this humble parish and its people, and we look forward to many more opportunities to spread love and hope in the years to come.
Wishing peace and blessings to every home as we step into the New Year.
Happy Lunar New Year from Vietnam Catholic Tours!
